If you have competition, lower prices, increase marketing, and improve your branch's stats when you build them. Closer you can get to per-capita (or lower) the better! This should greatly increase your sales volume. So if you're aiming for volume, you need to open up more branches, and you need to lower your prices as much as possible. You'll probably find 3000 models a month is pretty low. Simply go to Sales Book -> Reports -> Generate Reports -> Then create a report showing top vehicles, etc. By today standards that's a good production run. So, 3000 per month per model? That's 36,000 vehicles a year which is not too bad. So in 1920 roughly 2,000,000 people should be in the market for vehicles throughout the year world wide, and throughout all income levels. The population pools are modeled after historical data. I am interested in finding out if my numbers for car sales are in line with what others are experiencing. Each game I start is typically in London/NY/Chicago.Car sales stay around 3000 models once the games ages into the 20s. I am, of course am making the major money in the market through stocks. Once the radio comes out in the 20s, i tend to use about 5k on cities above 750k pop just in band marketing. If a car is not producing the number i will advertise it in papers. ![]() What advertising materials do you use? I spend about 1000 on each for brand marketing. But playing straight with branches, factories what should expect in the way of sales numbers. I played with the contract system for minute which does stretch models out without changes for 10+ years. So I basically have sedan, full size sedan, truck. ![]() I create new body styles only when the demand shows above average interest. I change models (1910 sedan, 1915 sedan new body style, new mechanicals if available, same for 1920, 1925 etc.) every five years through the "new model year" system. I am micro manage every three months the assembly lines to ensure build/sales rates are inline with each other. ![]() I have been playing in Normal mode for about two weeks.
